Talk: Leonardo's Last Supper
A Talk given by Jeffery Courtney on Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper.
The Last Supper is one of Leonardo's most famous works. Jeffery will tell the fascinating story of how the mural was painted, Leonardo's working methods and it's tragic decay. He will show how Leonardo's depiction of the famous story of Christ's Last Supper with his disciples outstrips that of any other artist. The painting is remarkable for the powerful psychological interpretation of the disciples reactions. He will also analyse the brilliant use of geometry and perspective which gives this great painting such monumental grandeur. Jeffery is a professional painter, teacher and lecturer and has made a particular study of the Old Masters methods and painting techniques.
